Sadly I have heard that the Louise Mandrell comeback CD titled "Playing Favorites" has been shelved.  Miss Mandrell's husband has experienced much ill health and Louise is unable to do any sort of tour in support of a new CD release. cornonthec Topic :   Jan Howard: Opry Show Stopper Jan Howard has not seen her name on the Country Music charts in over 40 years, but that does not stop the songstress from still receiving rave reviews for her performances on the Grand Ole Opry. Although Jan and other senior artists are not ever allowed on the televised portions of the Grand Ole Opry (which has been on hiatius from TV all summer), this does not mean that Jan still does not bring ovations to every performance. I recently seen the diva live on the Opry while visiting Nashville and will confirm that her performance of her classic hits "Evil On Your Mind/Rock Me Back To Little Rock" were outstanding. 07/10/2009 19:06 PM
